Decision rule
According to the requirements of DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 the decision rule employed shall be documented, when statements of conformity are provided in test reports, taking into account the level of risk (such as false accept and falls reject and statistical assumptions) associated with the decision rule employed (Clause 7.8.6). Unless inherent in the requested specification or standard or specified by the customer, at iLF Magdeburg the following general decision rule applies for evaluation of conformity of test results:
- passed / in-tolerance / okay
Measurement results ± measurement uncertainty are within the specification limits (risk: < 5 %) or measurement results are within the specification limits, but the measurement uncertainty exceeds them (risk: ≤ 50 %). - failed / out-of-tolerance / not okay
Measurement results are outside of the specification limits.
